Adding records to traps or stations

Add a record to a single trap or stationinstallation

You can add a record to aan trap or stationinstallation using the Trap.NZ app. If you wish to add a record using the website:

    1. Select the trap or stationinstallation you want to add a record to (from one of your project maps, or the lists of traps/stations in the respective sections of your project). Click on the link that appears appears in red font, which will load the page for that trap or station.installation.
    2. Click the green "Add a new (trap/bait station/monitoring) record" button, which will be to the right or below the map, depending on your screen size.
    3. Enter in the details for this record. The starred fields are mandatory, the other fields are optional.
    4. Click the green "Save" button when you are done.
    5. The page for the updated installation will be displayed, and the record you created will be shown at the top of the table under the map.

Add records to multiple traps or stationsinstallations

You can use the Add catches page to quickly update multiple traps, as below. Similar instructions will also work for updating multiple stations.

    1. Set the date for the updates you want to make.
    2. (optional) If you only want to update some installations in your project, you can narrow down the selection by specifying a line or trap type (eg. only show A12 traps on the ridgeline).
    3. (optional) In the grey box, you can select default values for the update (eg.e.g. all updates are for rats, the trap was sprung and has been rebaited with cheese).
    4. Click "Apply" and you will see a table appear showing the traps and default information you specified.
    5. If you wish, you can override the default values you set above (eg. maybe one trap wasn't rebaited). Check all the information is correct, the click "Save" when you're done.
    6. The rows will turn green to show that the records have been saved for the listed traps.
    7. If you have made a mistake, you can simply change the values of the appropriate record and click "Save" again. You can also delete individual records or edit them to add more details, such as trap condition or notes.
